TEACHER: GREG LAWRENCE

Guitar lessons at Evergreen Music Studio are designed to give the student a deep knowledge of music theory as it pertains to the guitar while also catering to the student’s stylistic needs.

Guitar lessons usually consist of two sections. The first is devoted to the exploration of scales, chords, improvisation, left and right hand technique, chord analysis, ear training, and harmony. Gaining clear insight into these concepts allows the student to build a foundation that can create a lifelong enjoyment of music.

The second is focused on the stylistic desires of the student. By learning to play and analyze songs the student loves, techniques and harmonic concepts arise that can be applied to a variety of contexts, in addition the student grows a lifelong connection to music.

By integrating these two approaches, Evergreen Music Studio aims to create exceptional guitarists that love to play.

Instruction available for: Acoustic Guitar, Classical Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, or Ukulele.
